Well having had one fire fitted we decided to have another, this time we were after a more modern look so we contacted Darren again to ask his advice.
He recommended looking at a Varde (Defra approved), again we decided to use Darren, the bonus this time was that we needed some additional building works to complete the project. Darren was also able to assist with this which included the removal of a wall and new hardwood flooring and skirting throughout 3 rooms. The Stove stands on a (recommended) polished stone hearth and looks superb, great advice on the choice! Again all works were finished on time and within budget.
Again brilliant service and would not hesitate to recommend his services.
Living in a modern house we had a double garage converted but as a single story pitched roof was cold in the winter so we decided to look at installing a wood burning stove, we would also need a false chimney breast as well to create a fireplace.
Having visited a few showrooms we could not find what we were looking for, it happened that a neighbour had one installed and put me in touch with Darren at Cinders and Ashes.
Darren visited and gave us the benefit of his experience, which was really good as he had no sales pitch, just sound advice. Having decided to proceed the work could not have gone better, from installation to commissioning of the stove Darren was on hand throughout.
This installation has now made the room a warm and cosy place whatever the outside temperature is and the Burley Fireball stove has been brilliant. We have also had Darren back to service the stove yearly.

This is our first woodburner. We’re very happy with the end product, which looks fantastic. Darren was very helpful and informative and was always ready to answer any queries or offer advice on our burner. If we were to have a second burner installed, we would use Cinders and Ashes.

He suggested the Charnwood C4, which has since proved to be perfect for our requirement.
The installation was very neat and tidy with a minimum of disruption, considering that the original fireplace needed to be exposed, having been previously boarded up, and a new hearth created from scratch.
